What to Expect During Your Visit

Once you and your provider agree on your treatment plan, you'll be ready to start. Your practitioner will use a very fine-gauge needle to inject the Restylane gel deep below your skin, and we’ll offer you a topical anesthetic to ensure that you’re kept as comfortable as possible.

Most Restylane sessions last 30 to 40 minutes. After your treatments, you may experience slight swelling and redness, but this is quite normal. We recommend using a cold compress to reduce your swelling and avoid UV exposure and cold outdoor activities immediately following your treatment.

Restylane gel injections provide a natural, noninvasive option for reducing fine lines and wrinkles while replenishing your skin’s volume. They are virtually painless, create long-lasting results, and only take between 30 and 45 minutes to complete.

Are Restylane injections painful?

Restylane injections are generally a virtually painless, noninvasive procedure. However, some of our clients experience a minor, tolerable sting. Your provider can apply a topical anesthetic before treatment to ensure comfort.

What is the recovery process for Restylane injections?

Similar to other dermal filler injections, you may experience slight swelling or redness in your treatment area(s) following your procedure. These minor side effects can last between one to three days. As with other injection treatments, there is always the possibility of bruising. Bruising can last between one to seven days. We recommend using a cold compress to help reduce the swelling.

How long will my Restylane filler treatments last?

While results vary based on the treatment area(s), age, and skin type, most clients’ results last from six months to two years between injections.
