Consultation

At Aurora Medical Spa, we understand that each client is an individual who brings a unique set of cosmetic goals with them when they walk through our doors. As such, you’ll begin your cosmetic journey with a consultation, during which one of our expert injectors will learn about your goals and collaborate with you on a custom treatment plan.

Pre-Injection

Once your injections are ready, you’ll perform a range of facial movements, such as smiling, frowning, or squinting. Your practitioner will note the fine lines and wrinkles in your treatment area(s) and mark the specific areas on your face and neck to be treated. These markings will wash right off and will serve as a guide when it comes time to administer your injections.

Treatment

Once your treatment area(s) are marked, your injector will use a very small needle to inject the dermal fillers deep below your skin. We use very fine-gauge needles, and your provider can apply a topical anesthetic to ensure your comfort. The majority of our clients only experience a minor, tolerable stinging sensation during their injections.

After Your Session

In most cases, a dermal filler treatment session is over in as little as 30 to 45 minutes. After your treatment, you may experience some minor tenderness and slight redness in the treatment area. This will fade over the course of a day or two, leaving you to enjoy exciting results that typically last between six months and two years!

As with other injection treatments, there is always the possibility of bruising. Bruising can last between one and seven days. We recommend using a cold compress to help reduce the swelling.
