What to Expect During Your Visit?

• Consultation: Similar to other medical procedures, your provider will take time before your session to discuss your problem areas, as well as your medical history, to ensure JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC treatments are the right option for you. They will also determine how many treatments you need to achieve the best results. Your provider may also take photos of the area(s) receiving treatment. These photos will be used to show your before and after transformation!
• Preparation: Your provider will determine and prepare the precise amount of filler to be injected into your treatment area(s). They’ll also offer to apply a topical anesthetic to minimize any discomfort during your injections. This process takes only a few minutes while you sit back and relax.
• Pre-Injection: Once your injections are ready, a registered nurse will ask you to perform a range of facial movements, such as smiling, frowning, or squinting. They’ll observe your facial expressions, taking note of the fine lines and wrinkles in your treatment area(s). After watching your expression, they’ll mark the specific areas on your face and neck to be treated.
• Treatment: Once your treatment area(s) are marked, your injector will use a very small needle to inject the Dermal fillers deep below your skin. Not to worry, it’s a tiny needle and your provider can apply a topical anesthetic to ensure you’re comfortable. Virtually painless, the majority of our clients experience a minor, tolerable stinging sensation during their injections.
• Post Treatment: After your treatments, you may experience slight swelling and redness. We recommend using a cold compress to reduce your swelling. Avoid sun exposure and extreme exercising for at least 24 hours following your treatment.
