What to Expect During Your Visit

Once you and your provider have agreed on your treatment pattern, you’ll be ready to get started. Your practitioner will use a very fine-gauge needle to inject the Restylane gel deep below your skin, and we’ll make sure to offer you the use of a topical anesthetic to ensure that you’re kept as comfortable as possible.

Most Restylane sessions are over in about 30 to 40 minutes. After your treatments, you may experience slight swelling and redness, but this is quite normal and we recommend using a cold compress to reduce your swelling. We also recommend you avoid UV exposure and cold outdoor activities immediately following your treatment.

Restylane gel injections provide a natural, non-invasive option if you’re looking for a way to reduce fine lines and wrinkles while also replenishing your skin’s volume. Restylane injections are virtually painless, create long-lasting results, and only take between 30 and 45 minutes to complete.

Are Restylane injections painful?

For the most part, Restylane injections are a virtually painless, non-invasive procedure. However, some of our clients experience a minor, tolerable sting. Your provider can apply a topical anesthetic before your treatment to ensure your comfort.

What is the recovery process for Restylane injections?

Similar to other dermal filler injections, you may experience slight swelling or redness in your treatment area(s) following your procedure. These minor side effects can last between one to three days. As with other injection treatments, there is always the possibility of bruising. Bruising can last between one to seven days. We recommend using a cold compress to help reduce the swelling.

How long will my Restylane filler treatments last?

While results vary based on the treatment area(s), your age, and skin type, most clients’ results last from six months to two years between injections. In fact, a clinical study of Restylane found that 95% of clients experienced results for 18 months when they followed the Restylane Regimen (initial treatment followed by a follow-up treatment four-and-a-half to nine months later).
