The Sculptra Experience
Preparation
Once all makeup or lotions are cleared away from your mouth, nose, and the remainder of your face, your provider will prep the injection site using antiseptic cream. You or your provider may choose to also apply a numbing cream to the site as well, to ensure your comfort.
Treatment
After your face is prepped, your provider will inject one or more syringes into their injection sites and slowly release the gel. Simple injections will take approximately 15 minutes, with more nuanced procedures lasting longer.
Procedure Time
Your Sculptra treatment will last for about one hour, at which point you’ll be free to return to your normal activities. This includes your pre- and post-injection consultations and the 15- to 30-minute procedure. More ambitious treatments take longer to complete.
Post-Injection
Once the product has settled, your provider will clean off the injection site and update you on your post-injection directions. Sculptra is typically administered in three sessions over a few months, with results that can last up to two years.
After Your Session
Possible side effects include redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site, but these fade quite quickly. You will begin to notice your results immediately, and many of our clients report that their results sometimes last for as long as two years.
