What To Expect During Your Visit?

  • Consultation: Similar to other medical procedures, your provider will take time before your session to discuss your problem areas, as well as your medical history, to ensure BOTOX® treatment is the right option for you. Additionally, your provider may take photos of the area(s) receiving treatment. These photos will be used to show you your before and after transformation!
  • Preparation: Your provider will prepare the specific amount of BOTOX® to be injected into your treatment areas. They will also offer to apply a topical anesthetic to minimize any discomfort during your injections.
  • Pre-Injection: Once your injections are ready, a registered nurse will ask you to perform a range of facial movements, such as smiling, frowning, or squinting. After they observe your facial expressions, taking note of the fine lines and wrinkles in your treatment area(s), the injector will mark the specific areas on your face and neck to be treated. This will serve as their guide when it comes time to administer your injections.
  • Injection Time: Once your treatment areas are marked, your injector will use a small needle to inject the BOTOX® below your skin. Although your provider will apply a topical anesthetic, you may experience some mild discomfort. But there is no need to worry. The majority of our clients experience a minor, tolerable stinging sensation during their injections.
  • Post-Procedure: Typically, BOTOX® injections can be performed in as little as 15 to 30 minutes. After your injections, we recommend you avoid exercising or lying down for 4 hours after treatments. It's also very important you avoid UV exposure for one to two weeks after your treatment(s) to ensure you experience the maximum results.*,1,2

What is the recovery process following BOTOX® treatments?

For about 15 minutes after your treatment, you may become slightly swollen and red at the injection sites. This is perfectly normal. In some cases, clients experience mild bruising, which can last between 2 to 7 days. After your injections, we recommend you refrain from exercising or laying down for 4 hours after treatments. It’s also very important that you avoid UV exposure for one to two weeks after your treatment to guarantee you experience the maximum results.*,1,2
